Luke 10:38–42

Martha’s frantic hospitality is more than busyness it is anxiety disguised as faithfulness. In a world that feels fragile and unpredictable, our instinct is to fix, manage, and control. Yet Jesus gently redirects Martha from urgency to presence. This week we name our impulse to control outcomes, manage perceptions, and carry what was never ours to carry. Lent begins not by trying harder, but by noticing what drives us and learning again how to sit at the feet of Christ.
