Frankie is a native of Wisconsin who came from a musical family, and has been a church musician since high school, playing piano and singing. In addition to many years of private piano, organ and voice lessons throughout childhood and college, she also played violin and wooden recorder in school. She received a bachelor's degree in theology at Ambassador University. She also completed a bachelor's in biomedical sciences and a master's degree as a physician assistant at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Although her main job has been as a physician assistant, she has also worked part-time in various denominations as a musician playing piano, organ, directing children's and adult choirs, and handbell choirs. She has directed community church concerts, Taize prayer services and a Christmas madrigal dinner play. Her music interests cover a wide spectrum from classical to country to pop music, and southern gospel to traditional sacred to contemporary Christian and Jewish sacred music. She recorded a CD "Beauty for Ashes" of her Christian contemporary compositions with a band at UMC of Whitefish Bay where she was on music staff for five years.
In her free time, she loves spending time with family (including two beloved King Charles Spaniels), friends, gardening, biking, and hiking. She volunteers as a Master Gardener and yoga teacher at LE Phillips Senior Center. She is delighted and grateful for the opportunity to serve in music ministry at Hope UMC.
