This month we have talked about being a church based on Paul’s teaching the churches in Galatians. The book, ‘God Unbound’, that I’m using as a resource talks about churches to be led by the Holy Spirit when changes come. The world has changes all the time and I thought it would be good for us too who are experiencing the changes and challenges of the pandemic and now becoming two point charge. At the First and second week, we talked about Paul’s experiences on the Damascus road and in the Arabian wilderness. I asked you to think about your own experiences of God and how your perspectives have been expanded. And in his saying, “There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus”, we talked about how Paul’s understanding of the tradition had changed and brought changes in the churches in Galatia. His experience brought changes to his life and understandings, and through those changes more people could listen and experience God.
